The directory's cover features a reproduction of the winning entry of the nineteenth "Arte de América Hispana Contest” which ran from October 15th, 2006 through February 9th; 2007.This art competition promotes and celebrates the rich and diverse Hispanic Heritage throughout the Tampa Bay Area. Local artists and art students 18 years and older, compete for a $3,000 grand prize by submitting original work that is the artist's interpretation of Hispanic Heritage in the city. A blue ribbon panel of judges consisting of area dignitaries, local art galleries directors, directory’s clients and TV delegates selected the winning poster. The special event hosted by HYP Network, will have the support of Arte de America Hispana title sponsors: Univision and Telefutura, La Mega and la Ley, State Farm Insurance, Tampa Bay Hispanic Chamber of Commerce (TBHCC), The Tampa Tribune, Centro, Mi Diario and Publix During the event, the top 3 artists will be recognized and receive cash prizes as the new edition of Directorio en Español Tampa with the winning artwork on its cover will be unveiled. “We are really excited about the partnership with the Tampa Bay Hispanic Chamber of Commerce and the Quorum Hotel.
