Hispanic Yellow Pages Network Promotes Its Arte de America Hispana Competition in Tampa's Hispanic Market
November 14, 2005 - HYP Network, the leading independent publisher of Spanish language yellow page directories in the United States recently launched their first Arte de América Hispana contest in the Tampa market.
This competition in the Tampa area allows local artists and art students, 18 or older, to submit works of art that reflect their interpretation or rendition of Hispanic heritage in the area. As in all other markets where it publishes directories, HYP Network promotes this event to celebrate and support the unique and diverse Hispanic heritage of different communities.
An esteemed panel of judges consisting of area dignitaries will judge the winning entry in February, 2006. The award and unveiling celebration will be held in April, 2006.
The winning artist will receive a $3,000 prize. The winning work of art will be reproduced on the front cover of Directorio en Español's 2006 edition, and will be adapted for other promotional items such as posters, billboards, and t-shirts.
The competition runs from September 15, 2005 through January 31, 2006. All artists interested in participating can download an application and contest guidelines at the company's website - www.hypnetwork.com. Artwork will not be accepted unless accompanied by a signed and completed application form.
